Colvir Software Solutions Ltd Company was established in year 2000 by group of experts having unique experience in automation of banking and financial technologies during large-scale state reforms in the countries with transitional economics.


Significant results have been achieved for the short period: software products for banks (Colvir Banking System), state financial institutions (Colvir Treasury System), and post offices (Colvir Postal System) developed and officially registered, a number of projects implemented successfully, big banks and other institutions became Company's clients, partnership relations established, internal structure and technological base formed.

The Company's head office is located in United Kingdom. The main working offices are in Moscow, Minsk and Syktyvkar. The Company has subsidiaries: in Sweden, United States of America and Kazakhstan.

Highly qualified employees are working for the Company: analysts, consultants, designers and programmers. Senior experts have over 10 years of operational experience in banking software. The Company's structure includes: marketing department, implementation department, quality assurance group, technical support department, development department, programming department, analytical department, testing group, technological group, and technical documentation group.

Company's experts have experience in successful implementation of more than 20 projects. The largest of them are the projects of National Bank of Kazakhstan, State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Turkmenistan, Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan State Treasury, Central Bank of Turkmenistan and “KazPost” Public Company. All above-mentioned projects are of government size and importance.

Our Solutions

The Company's main focus is software development and sales for banking, postal and state financial institutions, and associated services: training, implementation, customization, technical support and maintenance. Company's software products are scalable, open, adaptive package solutions designed in “client – server” architecture, and meeting typical set of requirements referred to banking and financial packages at international tenders.

All our solutions are designed using the same platform, the same kernel, same software tools and technologies. The main advantages of all Company's products are:

Colvir Software Tools
Wide set of adjustments designed for system tuning without programming is one of the key advantages of our software solutions. Some of these adjustments are: textual descriptions of the transactions, accounting models, tariff plans, product templates, interest rates, encoding rules, financial figures with analytical views etc. Non-programmers, but functional department's staff having no idea about database structure is able to provide most of such adjustments. Adaptability without programming is achieved in Colvir products by means of vast collection of powerful software tools. It is software tools such as Domain Concepts Dictionary, Financial Figures Service, Flexible Data Export Service, Accounting Models Designer and others that provide extraordinary system flexibility, and allow advertising adaptability without programming as a key distinctive feature of Colvir products.

Solution for Remote Branches
Capability of remote branches operation both in on-line and off-line modes with full support of centralized processing is another distinctive feature of Colvir products. Using the off-line mode besides low communication expenses still allows support of centralized data processing and storage, transmission of data with preset frequency (practically in real time mode), and supply of distributed authorization scheme for branch transactions.

Multi-Language Facility
Multi-Language facility in Colvir products has a number of distinctive features: unlimited number of languages supported, simultaneous handling of data in different languages, simultaneous report generation in different languages, different users simultaneous operation using different languages, support of translation period when translating into new language.

Interfacing with Other Systems
Due to flexible export software tools the Company's products are able to export all types of data stored in the database into MS Excel or XML format. At this the knowledge of the data structure is unnecessary, and as to export into MS Excel – the programming experience is unnecessary too.

As to data import – special import XML formats are provided referred to almost all types of data stored in the database. Should external system generate necessary XML format it will be imported and stored in the database using Colvir products' standard facilities.

Colvir Banking System


Functionality
Colvir Banking System includes the following sets of modules: Core Banking, Bank Treasury, Administrative Activity, Retail Business and Remote Access.

Core Banking consists of General Ledger, Client Accounting, Funds Transfer & Teller's Services, Payment System, International Payments, Loans, Deposits, Trade Finance, Standing Orders, and Currency Exchange Regulation modules.

Bank Treasury consists of groups of modules: Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Securities, and Derivatives. Both domestic and international market operations are supported. Both currency and precious metals are supported. Interfaces with REUTERS and BLOOMBERG systems are provided as well as handling of financial information archive (interest rates, quotations etc.). Bank Treasury contains also Risk Management and Cash Management modules.

Administrative Activity consists of modules: Budget Management, Contracts Handling, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventories, Human Resources, Payroll.

These modules allow not only supervision of budget execution referred to administrative operations, but also planning and supervision of budget execution referred to bank's main activity with budget handling and income & expense accounting referred to banking products.

Retail Business consists of Utility Payments, Cashier's Office, Transfers, Exchange Office, Retail Deposits, Retail Loans, Safe Services, Standing Orders, and Plastic Cards' Back Office modules.

Remote Access consists of: off-line branches modules, Client – Bank modules for juridical and natural persons.

All Bank's Operations in a Single System
Colvir's functional modules allow for provision of completely integrated solution. The main advantage of integration is that all bank's transactions referred to either Core Banking or Administrative Activity are operating with one kernel, one General Ledger, one budget, one Risk Management module, one Cash Management module. This allows: to evade expenses referred to interfacing of system components, to reduce expenses referred to staff salary and training, to make easier system modification.

Modern Banking Technologies supporting bank's business development are implemented in Colvir Banking System:

System Evaluation by Deloitte & Touche
In 2004 the auditor company Deloitte & Touche a member of “Big Five” provided Colvir Banking System audit and issued a positive conclusion where it was stated: “functional and technological facilities of Colvir Banking System meet as a whole the modern requirements of large and medium-sized banks of Russia and CIS referred to automated banking systems”.

Colvir Treasury System (CTS)


Functionality
There is a complete set of standard functional modules for state treasury operations: General Ledger, Budget Organization Register, Budget management, Contracts Handling, Commitment Accounting, Revenue Management, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payment System, State Debt Management, Securities, Fixed Assets, Inventories, Human Resources, Payroll, Client-Treasury, Client-Bank.

Some functional modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable etc. are common for both products. Budget Management module in CTS has a special supplementary task referred to financing. Contracts Handling module in CTS significantly differs from similar module in Colvir Banking System. Modules: Revenue Management, Commitment Accounting, Budget Organization Register, Client-Treasury, State Debt Management have been designed especially for treasury needs.

Colvir Postal System (CPS)


Functionality
Colvir Postal System includes the following set of postal functional modules: Postal Services, Agent Services, Database of Addresses, Postal Orders, Goods by Mail, Retail Trade. At the same time CPS can utilize all functional modules included in Colvir Banking System.

CPS automates operations of mail receipt, delivery, return, and re-send for all types of postings. Both by name and batch mail receipts are supported. The System is interfaced with letter-weight and bar code equipment. The following agent services are available: pensions and subsidies payout, servicing of banks and insurance companies, arrangement of lotteries etc. The System provides international postal orders including via STEFI.

The System is designed under Universal Postal Union Deeds.
Integration
CPS modules are integrated with “Mail Sorting”, “Register Mail Delivery Control”, and “Subscription” modules. In aggregate the functional modules from CPS provide fully integrated solution. At this all post office operations referred to postal, banking and administrative activity are performing in unified system with no extra expenses for integration.

Big advantage of the System is a unified postal counter workstation that allows one branch employee to perform different types of transactions without leaving the System.

Clients and Partners Training

Our Company pays much attention to clients and partners training. Special training courses are developed referred to products functionality, software tools, technologies of products implementation, maintenance and evolution, including new components development courses. Training courses are designed for different trainee's level from end-user level to software developer level. Training can be provided either at client's site or in our training center in Company's Moscow office.

Implementation
Implementation of our products can be done either by Colvir experts or by our certified partners experienced in successful projects realization. This allows provision of implementation in short terms without interruption of clients' operation. The range of services referred to implementation includes: consulting services related to products utilization technologies, training, installation, products configuration and tuning, participation in testing including provision of collection of tests, data migration, trial operation support, project management.

We support an alternative implementation strategy based on client's own implementation as well. In this case the every effort is bent to implementation team's training. After training the implementation team must perform the main scope of work. Using this strategy our role reduces to necessary level of implementation process support. This approach allows reducing of project costs but claims for high-qualified implementation team creation.

There are technological tools designed by our Company especially for supervision of Colvir products implementation processes.

Customization
In spite of Company's products high adaptability, customization of the base software solutions may be necessary for complete meeting of clients' requirements. As a rule we offer the client a number of standard options, but if no one of these options is suitable for the client, it is necessary to provide customization in accordance with client's functional requirements.

Just like implementation process the customization of products can be done either by our experts or by our certified partners. In case of in-depth training of client's employees referred to our software tools utilization, the customization can be done by client's own staff.

Technical Support and Maintenance
The Company provides its clients and partners with high level professional services referred to software technical support and maintenance. Our Technical support department involves the most experienced staff only with excellent knowledge of Company's products and software tools, capable of solving any problems arisen with high quality and in time. Company's revenue share referred to technical support and maintenance services exceeds 25% of total revenues.

The main distinctive feature of our technical support and maintenance services is support of software customization provided by clients themselves. This option is extremely important because all Company's products represent package solutions with lots of adjustments, many of which are provided by clients. To achieve high-quality technical support and maintenance we designed a special technological software tools enabling support of clients' customization, supervision of products configuration installed at clients' site, and versions update including remote branches operating in off-line mode.

In the network of technical support services the Company guarantees elimination of any kind of errors detected in the software. In the network of system maintenance we guarantee elimination of any kind of emergency conditions arisen at client site irrespective of whose fault resulted in emergency conditions.

Technical support is provided through client's access to Company's Web-site special section. If necessary the remote on-line support performed by means of Citrix Server or Windows 2003 Terminal Server can be used.
